PLANET ON FIRE
Planet on Fire is a game prototype I created to take part in the 2020 cologne game lab application process.
It succeded!! I am starting to study Game Design November 20 !!
The obvious goal of the game is to stop the fires and to save as many trees as possible. Manage your water supply wisely! Eventually you may sacrafice some trees in order to save the forest.
The player is in control of a small fire truck on the planet’s surface.
A small probe is continuously orbiting the planet. If both vehicles are near each other the player may swap between them in order to get a better perspective on the global fires. Caution: you might get stuck on the probe for one or two orbits if you exceed the radio-transmission range …
As this game is a prototype for testing out various mechanics there are a lot of bugs, too.
The prototype is resource hungry! DirextX 12 needed!
