August - "optimizing" update

Hey,
I have made some adjustments to the inner workings of the machine.
My goal was to optimize the prototype to be less demanding ... Hope it helps ...
- added the graphics menu option
- you may now show fps and lag,
- enable v-sync
- set the render resolution
Further little, boring changes
- general performance improvements
- added LODs to the trees
- made the thing run fullscreen
- removed several overkill visual features
- adjusted decal rendering
- reworked the orbital probe movement system to be more sustainable ..
- changed the menu text to say my name
I don't know if I am going to continue working on this project. I don't want to touch the running system all to much - so my plan is to rework a lot of the mechanics and features I explored with this prototype. Maybe I will recombine them to make a real version 1.0 in the future or maybe something else, something cooler will emerge? Who knows ...
